The book aims to analyze contemporary Spanish cinema. The last two decades, the end of the 90s and the beginning of the twenty-first century, will be the focus of our study. Our main goal is to discover new trends and new issues in Spanish cinema as an example of whats happening in contemporary cinema. This approach will be made by scholars from both national and international universities. All of them, experts on Spanish cinema. Therefore, the subject matter will be considered from different perspectives, thus offering a rich mosaic about contemporary Spanish cinema.

The book will be constructed from six sections, historical memory, hybridisation in contemporary Spanish cinema, the innocence of childhood, different faces of Spain, genre and Almodovars movies.
