The incubator is an artificial incubator that allows eggs to hatch without the hen. If you don't want to buy one, you can easily make one at home. To do this, you will need some accessories and materials.

To ensure a comfortable habitat for the brood, it is not necessary to have high quality or expensive materials. You just need to have the essentials to ensure their survival until brooding. You will therefore need a cooler or any other box made of polystyrene. To provide warmth and light, you will need a bulb of about 25 Watts.

You will also need chatterton and a very solid chicken wire. You must have conductors and fuses to power the bulb. A thermometer will be useful for measuring humidity. To have a constant source of humidity, prefer a sponge soaked in water placed on a simple plate. For the cover, you will need a glass frame. To place the eggs, you will need a tray. And incidentally, a fan would not be refused.

The design of the incubator

You will need to choose the location of the incubator to give your eggs more chance to hatch. Also choose the location of the future heater to prevent the eggs from cooking. If the light and heat source is held without a thermostat, be sure to put down the thermometer.

At one end of the box, cut a hole to pass the bulb. Fix the bulb on the socket after having put the latter inside the box. To avoid the risk of fire, surround the hole with tape or insulating tape. It will also be used to immobilize the bulb in its location.
