Just like a glass menagerie, God took my broken pieces and began making a
masterpiece. Bonded together with the adhesive of his love, I am a living example
that God can use anyone.

I’ve dealt with trial after trial after trial. And somehow in my wayward thinking I
was able to call on God briefly, dust myself off and keep things moving. Never had I
felt so broken that I thought “I” (keyword here is I) wouldn’t be able to bounce back.
I was the master carpenter. I could glue, nail, tape and suture my life together like
no other. Slap some paint on it and Boom! Just like new. Back to living, working and
half-heartedly walking on the path God set for me to follow.

But this last situation broke me beyond repair. No amount of gluing, taping or nailing
was going to fix this. I thought I’d be fine. Push it to the back of my subconscious as usual and get on with my day. And day in and day out it weighed on my spirit. I knew it was bad when it started to affect me at work. The normal happy “mask” I was usually able to wear was nowhere to be found. I was in pieces, shattered beyond repair and that is exactly where God needed me.
